Beans. Rice. God.

Have you ever seen the world through a new pair of eyes? That’s what it feels like just happened to me. I’m 21 years old and I just found out I needed glasses. After waiting patiently all week for them to arrive, I finally received my first pair yesterday. It was amazing. I could see crystal clear! All textures and lines were perfectly crisp. The beauty and detail of the world seemed to jumped right out a me.

How sad to be working for your family and yet be loosing your sight from being out in the sun with no protection for your eyes or to be a mom who needs to pick out bugs from the rice she is feeding her children. My name is Luke Kaufmann, an Eagle Scout Candidate of Boy Scout Troop 781 in Plymouth, MI, and I want to help the people around the world that do not have enough money to afford the eyeglasses they need to work and live.
