In 1 John 4:8 a very remarkable statement is made. “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.“ Did you catch that? John the Apostle said, “God is love.” Later in the same section, John tells us the same thing, “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Does Love Win? This is a question Rob Bell brings up in his new book, Love Wins. But before we can answer that question, I think we need to find out two things: what is love and what is love winning against? It also begs the question: What is there to lose?
